Summary: Over three-quarters of U.S. travelers express some level of hesitation in considering to travel. In total, 47% need more time in be ready for travel while 31% are ready but “feel some hesitation”. Only 22% are confident, either actively planning travel or are already traveling.
Bottom Line: Once the health crisis is under real control, tackling the crisis of confidence will be the most important priority. Health authorities, all levels of government and industry organizations will need to work together to communicate clear, compelling messaging on when and how it is safe to travel, and for whom.
